Articles "Pressure doesn't cause the pain, it only reveals it"- UnknownI often hear people say, "I didn't even know that place hurt." Pain is your body's last resort of trying to tell you - "Hey do something about this"! More often than not, when you experience pain it has been a problem your body has been dealing with for quite sometime. When it is not able to eliminate the problem on its own, it gets your attention through pain signals. Oftentimes its not going to get better on its own, it may go away for a while, but as most of you know, it will come back with a vengeance. Take for example your wisdom teeth. They are always growing, but hurt only occasionally; the pain goes away for a while, only to come back stronger. What can you do about this? My advice would be to seek preventive care. You can do this by receiving massages on a regular basis. By coming in frequently, I can help your body to eliminate the source of the problem. An important point to remember here is that your body is the only one you get. If its giving you problems when you are in your 30's or 40's, it's going to be even worse when you hit your 50's. When you only come in when the pain gets intolerable, I can only help the symptoms, not the cause of the problem. Massage at least once a month will not only make your whole body feel better, your symptoms will greatly decrease and in the long run your problem may be eliminated. I understand that most of us do not have the extra money to get a massage once a week, but it is cheaper on your wallet in the long run than surgery would be.
