Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours? I take appointments Monday through Saturday, 9:00am to 7:00pm
How much advance time do you need when I make my appointments? Most of the time I can get you in the same day you call, if not I can definitely get you in the next day. If you would like an appointment the same day your best bet would be to call me.
What types of payment do you accept? I take cash and check at my office. I can take Visa and MasterCard through this website on the services page.
I've never had a massage before, what can I expect? I often hear this question. When you come in for a massage I will ask you to fill out a confidential intake health form. Then we will discuss your expectations (relaxation, specific pain issues, etc.). Next, we will go into the massage room and I will tell you the details of what is going to happen in your session. I will leave the room to let you get on the table. You do not have to completely disrobe if you do not want to . My first priority is to make you feel comfortable and secure. For example, if you are getting a 30 minute massage on your back, you can leave on everything from the waist down. You can just disrobe to your comfort level. After the massage you can expect to feel a 100% better than you did before.
Will I be sore after the massage? That depends on what massage you are receiving. In the relaxation massage, no you shouldn't. It is normal to feel some soreness the next day after receiving the pain reduction massage. Drinking water will help reduce this. Having regular massage will also reduce the soreness as well.
Do you sell gift certificates? Yes, you can buy them at my office or you can pay for them through this website on the services page. If you buy them through the website, I will be more than happy to mail them to the lucky recipient. A quick note about my gift certificates: They are good for the person you buy them for, for three months, if not used, they go back to you for one additional month. So they will not go to waste.
Where did you go to school? I graduated from the Academy of Healing Arts located in Macon, Georgia. It was a 700 hundred hour course that lasted a year.
What other qualifications do you have? I have continued my studies through reading books, research and continuing education courses. I am a professional member of the AMTA. I have been in business for more than 3 years and helped over 100 clients on their journey to become pain free.
How did you get interested in massage? I became interested in massage after I received my first one. It made me feel so good, that I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life - Help other people feel good. Life is rough enough on its own and then when you throw pain into the mix, it makes it almost unbearable. I came to the conclusion that massage was a great way for me to make a difference in someone else's life. So I saved up my money for two years, did a lot of research and went to school.
